Dylan Bryant is an emerging Australian composer from Brisbane who shapes narrative through music, connecting to people, time and place. Since writing and producing a musical (The Fungus) in high school, Dylan has been a Semi-Finalist in the Petrichor International Music Competition (2025) and a Finalist in the Australian Society for Music Education Composition Competition (2024) and Queensland Music Teachers’ Association Composition Competition (2025). Recently, he was commissioned for the 150th anniversary celebrations of Ferny Grove State School, and has composed works for video game, solo instrumental, chamber ensemble and concert band. Dylan is currently completing a Bachelor of Music (Composition) at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University under the tutelage of Dr Nicole Murphy.

As a performer, Dylan has played Euphonium and Bass Trombone in the Queensland Youth Orchestras Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony, serving four years as Principal Euphonium. He regularly engages in community music making with the New Groove Jazz Ensemble, Brisbane City Big Band, Brisbane Municipal Concert Band, and various musical theatre productions. Tutoring low brass at school camps has sparked a passion for music education, where Dylan enjoys mentoring young musicians and fostering creativity through performance and composition.
